Getting your mind and life back on track after leaving behind expectations and oughtism. If you’re at the crossroads of life – divorce, redundancy, bankruptcy, health issues or a moment of indecision – this book will bring you back to who you are. This personal growth book will remind you of your purpose and the talents you bring to this world. It talks of change, karma, dreams, comfort zones, mindfullness, memory, activity versus action and many other topics. It also has a number of exercises to return your dream, your real self, to your present and future.

"I have never read a book quite like this one before. If you’re sitting at home feeling that nobody understands you and that despite all your best efforts, you are getting nowhere near finding out what you need to make you happy – let alone being happy – then this book is a must for you. If you have visited countless clairvoyants and sat in circles to try and find your path through life without success, then here, at last, is hard, genuine information to help you make sense of it all.” ~ Jenny Smedley, England

“This book will inspire you to take that first fearful step of your predestined journey called life. It will help you to find out “who you really are” by recognising “who you really aren’t”. Philip J Bradbury’s book will ask you questions you may not have even thought of asking yourself … but the difference with this book is that he also includes simple exercises to help you find the answers!” ~ Jill Bonner, Insight magazine, Australia

“What makes Philip’s book different, and a cut above the average, is not that it is based upon his personal experience, or even that he suggests that “we find out who we are by being who we really aren’t”, but that he provides practical exercises – he shows readers how to apply the insights and techniques that have proved helpful to him and others in their efforts to reclaim their freedom. Philip does this with an astute sense of humour, wisdom and encouragement.” ~ Dr. Michelle L. Crowley: Clinical psychologist, Sth Africa

Action/Adventure, Thriller

When dreams and nightmares collide … The story is drawn from the author’s experience as a corporate trainer for a London bank and reality is mixed with fiction in this thriller with a twist of love. It could easily have happened. It might also have you shaken, not stirred.

“I read the book Philip – loved reading it, the polite Englishman getting acquainted with the kiwi tribe in London! And the way of using a novel form to explore some important secrets regarding free energy and the world grid and so on. Very enjoyable read, thank you!” ~ Cornelius van Dorp, author of Crystal Mission

“A compelling read, becoming quite fast paced and action packed as the plot thickens. I particularly liked the natural and easy way in which ideas from A Course In Miracles popped up in conversations between the characters.” ~ Riana Avis, Life Coach, London

“Your story is well written. I’m hooked early and see you have a lot more in store for us. I look forward to you writing more.” ~ Craig Bandalin, author of Just Out Of Sight, UK

The good and the bad of being different (a fable)

He was born with a defect he could not change. He was different and could never be like other boys, other men, other people. His disfigurement eventually drove him from his family, from the village and out into the world as a troubadour, a teller-of-tales … well, more precisely, a listener-of-tales.

In solitude, with his trusty horse, he found a softer world without sniggers and demands and a world of peace and the silent whisperings of his soul.

However, the solitude never lasted for long. The more he searched for that softer world, the more the sharp and abrasive one encroached upon him … till, one day, he met someone he didn’t want to turn away, someone who yearned for the disfigurement he had.

Issues and opportunities for men struggling in a world that seems alien and unfair, by P Bradbury, writer and teacher. The stories are both fictional and non-fiction. Some stories emanate from the men in workshops that Philip runs. Some come from current events and some from the muses of a concerned and caring man.

Men have largely created the tangible, outer world we have lived in for the past 2,000 years. Their achievements have been impressive. But so have their failings. Men have been progressive, regressive, kind, savage and perfectly imperfect humans.

Men have discovered new worlds, tilled the soil, defended people, invented great and healing machines, created beautiful and uplifting artworks. They have fathered gifted and happy children, inspired and soothed us with their songs and their writing.

Men have also raped, destroyed, murdered, disempowered, abused and lessened in many ways. We will not walk away from that reality.

As women start to claim power in the physical, outer world, so many men have gone inside to begin understanding and conquering their inner world. This has been an uncertain, painful and faltering process. Many men are feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable as participants in the human race. This is not healthy for the growth of our Earth family, for we were created with two sides and two sexes. One cannot grow without the other.

This book, therefore, follows and prescribes that process – the process for all men and for the author, P Bradbury.

The stories are both fictional and non-fiction. Some stories emanate from the men in workshops that Philip runs. Some come from current events and some from the muses of a concerned and caring man.

Enjoy!

52 short stories – humorous, insightful and questioning – in conversation with God and life, written by Philip J Bradbury. This book is part of one man’s return to his eternal, peaceful roots. Some excerpts are in blogs and one is here.

52 short stories – humorous, insightful and questioning – in conversation with God and life, written by Philip J Bradbury

Our untouchable God is known by a multitude of names (unutterable, prosaic, mystical, and foreign) and the experience with that undeniable presence comes about in all manner of ways (tragic, trivial, meaningful and comical). There is, however, nothing so deeply and abidingly calming as the recall of our Source, whatever way we name and feel it.

Nice cars, luxurious houses, perfect partners and passionate careers are all so desired, as is wealth, fame and prestige. None of them, last. We soon are used to the new refrigerator, forgetful of the new puppy, disdainful of our new job and weary of our latest lover.

There is nothing to anchor to but the intangible knowingness of that which cannot be neatly labelled and described; that which cannot be detected by any of our five senses; that which is beyond the symbols of this transient world.

We have no control and that can be frightening or freeing, depending on our connection to the Divine. When we know who we are, when our trust is as a still and silent rock in the soil of a fertile Presence, we find peace in handing control over to that which is beyond us.

This book is part of one man’s return to his eternal, peaceful roots.
