Anthony Hanna is living proof that an anxiety disorder can help people achieve success.
He was diagnosed with OCD as a child and experiences a dai-ly battle to control its rituals and repetitions. But instead of giv-ing in, Anthony actively manages his condition and uses it to help him set and achieve goals. When he sets his mind on some-thing, he never gives up.
As a child, Anthony was a promising pole vaulter. His OCD got the better of him when he tried to make the transition from age champion to professional athlete. Since then, he’s never let anxiety win. He spent almost eight years working with Victoria Police, including several years as a police negotiator. Today, he’s a fire fighter with the Aviation Fire Service in Brisbane and makes regular appearances in the Australian Firefighters Calen-dar.
Anthony is a firm believer in goal setting and hard work. He’s on a mission to inspire others and help people see what they can achieve.
He lives in Brisbane, with his wife Nicole and two children.
