D.J. Brand was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. Growing up in Lynwood and moved to Northam in 1979 to finish his schooling. He always dreams of being a writer and during the 80s have started to think of stories about an experiment that gives you the power of Dream Reality, where you dream of the past, present and future. The story is this boy solves mystery through his dreams. He started to original made the story as a screenplay. He also was involved with amateur theatre groups during the 80s and 90s. He performed for Patch Theatre, Wanneroo and YALDA (Young Australia League Drama Academy). He has won awards through his time at YALDA (1991 – Best Actor, 1992 – Over-All Excellence, 1994 – Best Actor and 1995- Best Actor).

After finishing YALDA and while working at a hospital in Perth, he decided to start to write this Book One and originally called ‘Cave Death’. The book was released in 2011. The title of the book and the cover has changed and hopefully get readers interested in the book.

D.J. Brand, between 2005 and 2010 had his own DJ Business ‘Cwazy DJ 3000’, because of his passion for music. He performed at Weddings and Parties including theme nights. He also, at that time wrote and hosted Murder Mystery Theme Night.
