Lorie Brink’s eclectic secretarial career unleashed her adventurous spirit and imaginative passions paving the way to writing and publishing several compelling novels.
A prolific Australian authoress of diverse genre, she writes with purpose and heart.
April 2025 saw the release of Vehemence, an anthology of four thought-provoking tales, six months after the release of True To Her Word, an enthralling crime/thriller set in Australia. Insatiable Curiosity, an action and adventure novel also available in Paperback, joins her e-books and short stories, Operation Incapacitate and Gunnie’s Last Round.
Her well-fed travel bug has taken her across Australia several times and to exotic countries in both hemispheres, although her insatiable appetite for sleek aircraft and fast cars haven’t played a role in these expeditions ... yet!
The National Library of Australia has a record of deposits of all Lorie’s novels, which are also available as eBooks.
Late October 2025, Dead Hands, a mystery thriller will be published independently - making it the ninth story Lorie has published in under three years. She admits being creative is an addiction!

When I have nothing else to read, I return to Gunnie's Last Round. I love this book. Lorie does well to pay tribute to Fallen Soldiers and describes the ANZAC Memorial Statue so well, you can close your eyes and see it." Marilyn

“Vehemence, the anthology, definitely got us talking! Four vastly different stories from the one author made for a fresh change. I love 'Gunnie's Last Round'. At our ladies’ luncheon, we were abuzz with what was in Lorie's coffee—and judged in the most hilarious way—particularly when we discussed the last tale. ‘A well-massaged mind,’ one friend said. Another quipped, ‘She’d be a scream with a few wines under her belt!’ But the cover? It’s amazing! You can’t help but thumb-groom the horse, then, surprise! You discover the other elements.” – Cammi
