Get your kids reading with Margaret R Blake's first novel, The Ring of Curses.

There is only one long school term and it's full of mystery that keeps one guessing.

JOHN MORROW'S PICK OF THE WEEK.

I hope there are more books coming to captivate me for times to come. This cleverly written book tells readers about a very special school, situated in the fishing village of Calder Cove. Calder Cove is an ordinary town full of ordinary people with ordinary children living ordinary lives. Well, at least that's how it would seem ... but nothing could be further from the truth.

Merlin's School for Ordinary Children - a not so ordinary school!

Book 2 - Another year and the strange school looms over Calder Cove still. Despite protests from parents and some offspring, it puts out a call for potential pupils to walk through the gates. This year the headmaster issues a dire warning - one that is ignored. Subsequently a portal to another dimension is opened, trapping five students inside. The only way out involves the retrieval of a much-coveted magical sword. Will everyone escape, or will they fall victim to those who reside there? Discover the answer inside "Sword of Stone."

A cross between Harry Potter and The Famous Five - fantasy/adventure for all the family.

Margaret R Blake does a wonderful job at interweaving book one – The Ring of Curses - with book two, Sword of the Stone. The skillful writing style of Margaret R Blake had me reliving the first read and I felt as though it was only yesterday that I had finished The Ring of Curse’s. There is enough information provided in this book for one to still enjoy the journey.

Book 3 - It is the third year since the strange castle, known to the residents of Calder Cove as Merlin's School, appeared in the seaside town. They are still viewing it with trepidation, more so this year as things that had been accepted - though odd - suddenly become dark and dire when a teacher is killed. Students are now more than ever reluctant to enter the confines of the building, but their choices are removed by an enchantment that draws the selected few in. Will they find out who the murderer is? Or will the the murderer find them first? Sleuth your way to an answer in "The Grail and Back Again."

Fantasy adventure for all the family.

I loved the story, especially revolving around Allan, Orion and Ernest. It was fun and fast paced. The boys really came alive for me when they entered the other realm. Their personalities came out. Their adventures flowed one into the next and you have some wonderful turns of phrase that at times had me chuckling and appreciative. I was rooting for them, and even the angry James once his grandfather was found. Julie Whitley

I really enjoyed it overall, I kept wanting to pick it up and keep going. Anita McGovern (Avid Reader)

The Healing. Five-Stars
Margaret R Blake, in her new book the Healing, tells a fabulous Five Star story of a young women’s heartbreak and healing.
The story is set in medieval times where magic and normal are mixed into a spellbinding dialog. Yet the reader is right at home with the author's vivid descriptions and her development of the story's many characters.
This suspenseful tale will keep the reader turning its pages until the end where an astonishing secret is revealed.
Thanks, Margaret, for a wonderful five-star story and great read.

I loved The Healing, it was a wonderful story where a maiden found the courage to overcome many ruthless deeds ... her fiery spirit eventually saved her and her gift in the end was proof, women can overcome anything and succeed ... well done Margaret for creating an escape ... keep up the great work.
